Nebraska Accepts Invitation to Big 10
Looks legit. Still needs to be approved by the board at Nebraska

This too.
The first big domino has fallen. I just hope that BYU ends up with the best case scenario when all is said and done.

I hope so too, that's what makes me so nervous about all of this conference expansion talk. I don't care about the MWC, I care about BYU and what's in BYU's best interest. I hope that BYU shows zero loyalty to the MWC when push comes to shove.Lawboy wrote:http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=5276551

Re: Nebraska Accepts Invitation to Big 10
If the Big 12 stays together, I like our chances of an invite. Please let it happen!! Comparing BYU to Nebraska, SLC is hte #31 market while Omaha is #76. And Utah has 800k more people. Plus, the BYU alum base is big i nteh west and southwest, so BYU really would be a good add to the BIG 12 financially to replace Nebraska.

I do hope this results in BYU being invited to the Big12. It won't help attendance in games played in Texas as they usually sell out already, but it will help the North Division games where that isn't always the case. If the Big12 stays intact, does Oklahoma and OSU split up so one of them is in the North Division???

Re: Nebraska Accepts Invitation to Big 10
let's be clear, Nebraska has not yet accepted an invitation rather they have applied for membership. I think that's a key difference.
Nebraska AD said "we'd be surprised if they said no." but they could.
huh.
Let's say Big 12 vanishes as the only herd that matters runs to the safety of the dasterdly Pac - 16. Then after seeing the tea leaves, Notre Dame does somethign stupid and joins the Big 10 also. Big 10, out of room, says NO to Nebraska. They've been after Notre Dame for years, I think they'd definitely chose ND over NB and with the Big 12 gone, where does Nebraska go?
They could end up here.
With Kansas. Wow. Impossible? maybe not.
so long Utah, enjoy the Pack

Big Ten has now offered and UN has accepted. Took most of the day for it to come out.

Are we seeing the beginnings of a new BCS? One with just four conferences each with 16 teams?
BYU PER W/L Since 1972: 432-76 (.850)
(8.4xYDS)+(330xTD)+(100xCOM)-(200xINT)
