Texas fans arguing BYU would be a good fit in the BigXII.

This was pointed out to me by a buddy who is a Longhorn fan. I guess they've had several posts mentioning BYU as a good fit. Figured this would be good 1st post. Mars invited me to come on here from cougarblue.

Welcome to the site! Interesting thred...LOL that when the dude typed in Utah he meant BYU..I'm not sure if that is a compliment or a slam....

That thread could have been renamed "Missouri vs. BYU". It sure sounds like many of the Big XII fans (who are probably angry about Missouri's overtures towards the Big Ten) think that BYU would do just as good as Missouri athletically in the Big XII, if not better. And I agree with them.

Texas/Oklahoma > BYU. We wouldn't be the big dog in that conference, not by a long shot. But could we be better than Nebraska, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Okie State? Yes. And could we absolutely dominate Colorado, Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State? Absolutely.
