I'd like to know who thinks they are going 8-4 against this year's schedule or next years. I would take 8-4 every year against that schedule.
I think a competent coaching staff could go 8-4 with this years schedule. I think (hindsight being 20/20) that a competent coaching staff would have had more than 8 wins per year the last 3 years.
Yep. It's 7-6 or 4-9 that really hurt.
4-9 is very realistic, and if they can't beat Tennessee I'm not sure they get 3 wins this year.

Who are these coaches and when can they be hired because I just don't see a long list of head coaches with a proven record that fits all of BYU's made up and cuff themselves criteria. (Bronco isn't coming back so name someone else)

Lance Anderson

Maybe Ken Niumatalolo down the road.

One in a million shot: get Mike Leach active again.

He came to mind but I don't see him leaving his position with the Lions right now. We'd have to get him "between jobs."

How much experience does he have on the college level? It's been proven NFL success isn't a guarantee to translate over to college.

Hard pass on Niumatalolo.

He only had a few years at the college level before going to the pros.

Why? The triple option?

He is probably making about $800k a year, which BYU could beat if they wanted to.
