I don't trust special teams kicking. Kalani has yet to have an effective field goal kicker or reliable punter/kicker on the team. Even turning away multiple eventual all american players in favor of kids who can't hit a 30 yard FG.

I went with DL because since we ran off our reliable DL coach in favor of someone who has no idea what he is doing as DC or DL coach, we have no ability to put pressure on opposing QB's.

Dude, we have Jake "The Make" Oldroyd coming back off a mission and actually healthy. He's being pushed hard by [note: I will insert his name here when I remember it] right now, and everything I've heard about the kicking situation has been glowing reviews--the the point where there have been discussions about possible Lou Groza nominations.

Yep, same story we've heard for the last 4 years. And at Spring Game we only made 2 out of 6 field goals from 30 yards or less.

This. Aside from Tonga, my #1 concern. Players, scheme, and play-calling all.
