Wrubell Blog - Great Line

Post by SpiffCoug »

Saw this on Cougar Tracks, thought it was a great line.

"he Huntsman Center has gone from practically impenetrable to eminently hospitable; the Utes are 7-6 at home this season. Another way of putting it is Utah has lost twice as many home games this season as BYU has lost in almost five full seasons under Dave Rose, who is now 74-3 at the Marriott Center. And that is why the "big name schools" will play in Salt Lake City, but won't make the trip down I-15."

This is why I think highly of big teams that will come and play in Provo. Wake Forest deserves big props.

The officials during the game sure thought so :sulk:

I don't mind, I read till I reach my destination,

Yea, but the interview the Wake Forest gave after the game made it clear that such games were things of the past and so far his word seems to be coming to pass.

I remember Coach Gaudio saying something like that in the post-game interview, but that was more of a nod of respect than anything. Much like Lou Holtz used to do. Simple fact is that WF still schedules OOC games on the road, as evidenced by 5 of their 12 OOC games being such. Including trips to Gonzaga and Purdue. As opposed to Dook, who did 2 of their 14 OOC games on the road.

Hey Bubba, totally unrelated to your comment, but how hard are you guys getting hit by this storm? It's pretty intense here, and that's coming from a kid who grew up in Alaska. :bug: We've gotten about 2 feet just in the last 12 hours or so.
Hope you guys haven't gotten snowed under or flooded out...

Same goes for any other Corner fans kickin' it out here on the East side. Be safe.
