This is just an awful, awful loss by Gonzaga. USF was 7-14. This is just further proof of how extremely difficult it is to win on the road.
For what it's worth, I'll take both a loss at Utah State and at New Mexico over a loss at San Francisco.

BYU PER W/L Since 1972: 432-76 (.850)
(8.4xYDS)+(330xTD)+(100xCOM)-(200xINT)

You say that like it was Gonzagas only loss (granted the other 3 losses were name schools)kitic77 wrote:This is just an awful, awful loss by Gonzaga. USF was 7-14. This is just further proof of how extremely difficult it is to win on the road.

The point is that Gonzaga gets a lot out of dominating a very very poor conference and somehow gets name teams to play them (something we can't seem to do with regularity)
There's no reason to believe that Gonzaga doesn't fall behind us; in fact several of the top 10 lost this week but I don't expect us to jump any of them due to the UNM game. I also don't think we're going to fall past 15 as some expect.

No wonder Zaga backed out of the 1-1-1 deal with BYU. Obvioulsy they didn't want 2 Guaranteed losses, possibly 3.craigoscarson wrote:http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=300302539
