You do know that this is for cancer awareness right? And that our head coach is a cancer survivor- barely?

Hahah...I'd only wear them on the court. I think wearing basketball shoes around like they were Vans for something is lame. Waste of a good shoe.Y&Brit wrote:Just keep the collar down.Gunk wrote:Sick shoes. I'd wear 'em. Seriously. I actually almost bought a pair of the Hyper shoes the other week. Nice shoes.

I HATE when non-basketball players where basketball shoes for style or something, especially when it's a nice pair. It's SUCH a waste of a good shoe.

I'm not sure what you mean here.... butMars wrote:Yuk Yuk yuk.snoscythe wrote:The pink jerseys are out of where? The closet?

Dave Rose is more than a "barely" cancer survivor. Just because his tumor was found and removed doesn't mean that it couldnt' have killed him. It may not have been the more agrressive form of pancreatic cancer, but that does not mean that his life wasn't in jeopardy.
What he had and went through could have cost him his life. He's a tried and true cancer survivor.

Yeah, I gotta admit that what Mars intended to say was pretty clear.Mars wrote:Exactly genius. He barely survived cancer.craigoscarson wrote: Dave Rose is more than a "barely" cancer survivor. Just because his tumor was found and removed doesn't mean that it couldnt' have killed him.
When you die, if you go somewhere where they ask you a bunch of questions about your life and what you learned and all, I think a good way to get out of it is just to say, "No habla ingles." ~ Jack Handey

Yeah. You are aware it was pancreatic cancer, right? Not breast cancer. Pink is the color for breast cancer awareness. They could have chosen any of the following colors: orange, yellow, blue, green, white, brown, peach, gray, teal, periwinkle, amber, jade, light blue, lavender, orchid, pearl, gold, clear, zebra-striped, blue-and-white striped, ivory-and-burgundy striped, teal-blue-and-pink striped--all of those colors are associated with various types of cancer awareness.Mars wrote:Yuk Yuk yuk.snoscythe wrote:The pink jerseys are out of where? They should have gone with purple--the color to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer.
Given all of those choices, I will continue to have my fun with the choice of pink--at least I'm promoting awareness.

Besides, Breasts are sexier than pancreases . . . um, from a marketing standpoint I mean.
