Expectations for the Washington game?
Most on here figure this game will be a loss. Same sentiment as before the Wisconsin game. As the old cliche goes its why we play them. What are your expectations/Goals for this game ? Here are mine.
1. Dont Get blown out.
2. Play well enough that with a couple wins after this game we get back in the top 25.
Ok mine are pretty basic. Lets hear your thoughts.

Re: Expectations for the Washington game?
My hope is that BYU plays a hard fought close loss. My expectation is that we get no pressure on Browning and he throws for about 400 yards and 4 td's and we get whipped. We will probably hold Gaskins in check though.

I'm going to take the same approach I used for Wisc. Expect a loss. Be overjoyed to be wrong. Worked once this year.

Goal: retrun to Provo healthy and ready for a 3-game homestand
Expectation: blowout loss with injuries.
Washington is a bad matchup for BYU. But come back healthy and win the next three home games and we're heading to Boise at 6-2 with a chance to get back into the Top 25 with a win.

Re: Expectations for the Washington game?
It would take a performance far surpassing the Wisconsin game to beat Wasington. Wisconsin was at least a better matchup. And, as I've said, we don't have the luxury of catching Washington off guard. Maybe we can just keep it respectable and not get totally humiliated.

I'd have agreed until Washington and Utah played. Washington isn't unbeatable. But BYU is more beatable.KingCoug wrote: ↑Sun Sep 23, 2018 9:58 am It would take a performance far surpassing the Wisconsin game to beat Wasington. Wisconsin was at least a better matchup. Re: Expectations for the Washington game?
BYU's line will wear them out on both offense and defense. The game will be determined by our receivers ability to make big plays, or at least clutch plays. Drops and turnovers could doom us.

Re: Expectations for the Washington game?
That's a huge factor overlooked in the Wisconsin win - No turnovers, not too many penalties. Focused, clean play
