BYU ESPN Power Index

ESPN is giving us 16.9% to win the conference. They have us at 41% chance to beat Princeton and 81.4% against UT Arlington. So far Princeton has lost to Butler 75-85 and UT Arlington beat LMU 85-80.
We beat Princeton at home last year. They finished the regular season with 19 straight wins and lost to Notre Dame in the NCAA tournament by only 2. I would like to think that our chances of beating them are closer to 45%-49%.
UT Arlington destroyed us on our home court last season in the first round of the NIT. I don't think our win% is anywhere near 81%. Much closer to %51%-55%.
I think both of these games are toss-ups and the home team has the slight advantage. What do you think?

I tend to agree with you there.
I think Princeton isn't as good of a team this year as they were last year, but it's always tougher to travel 2 time zones East and play, so that evens things out.
As for UT Arlington, I think they may be about on par with last year, so it will be a tough game for the Cougars.

I haven't been able to find tv listing for this game. Is it going to be nationally televised?

With a 5pm MT start time between work and Scouts tonight I won't be able to catch the game.

It was a good game, closer than the final score indicated, in my opinion. The game was very much in question with just 2 minutes to go.

Well, we beat the odds against Princeton. That's good.

Hopefully they stay in our favor against UTA. That was an odd loss last year. We just got spanked. I wonder how much of the team chemistry and Mika leaving and a bad divorce etc etc etc was getting into the team's head. They looked awful. I think we return the favor this year. BYU by 20.

Team last year was a head case. We'll never know, but I suspect all the above affected things quite a bit. There was very little chemistry last year.

You may be right but BYU answered the question. Let's hope in a few weeks we can still say they are answering the question.
