How many years does the current state of affairs set BYU football back in recruiting and win%? This is brutal stuff coming out right now. And I don't see any John Becks or Cameron Jensons on the team willing/ready to right the ship. Bronco was able to turn the team around pretty quick in 2005/2006, but he had the leadership and a team ready to follow him through a brick wall to get it done. I don't see a quick fix.

Several players left when Bronco became head coach because they didn't want to live and practice and play to Bronco's requirements. It was a good thing. I keep hoping that Kalani can get this turned around, but the poop pile keeps getting deeper.

Frankly, I think it depends on how long the AD allows this nonsense to go on. If Kalani gets another year, it may take years and multiple coaching changes before we see someone able to fix it.

Minimum of 2 years with a turnaround master, disciplinarian like Bronco.
Potentially 2-3 years for big recruits to come back in larger numbers than just a few.

More than any other sport, football is most affected by coaching. How many horrible teams have there been across college and the NFL that have gone from the bottom to the top within a year or two after a coaching change, even with the same players.

The moment BYU starts winning, the recruits will come back.

Define "winning". Beating Umass? UNLV? Hawaii?
I don't see this team beating any of the P5 teams next year either... more lost recruits? Deeper hole to dig out of. This can turn into nasty downward spiral.

Just like Norm chow at Hawaii, who turned that program into a disaster, Sitake is doing the same thing to BYU. We have become soft, undisciplined and the team simply doesn't execute. All which is attributed to coaching. There will be no turning around this sunk ship with the current staff, including the HC. We need a house cleaning and we need to start over and hope the next group does a better job. The BYU fan base and donor class just got a huge slap in the face of what could happen when you start thinking that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence when you already have a 9 win per season coach with the recruiting restrictions that accompany BYU.

And essentially all in the space of about 20 months.
