Heath Schroyer is actually returning to BYU having previously been an assistant.

I remember hearing he was a defensive coach.... so that could be good. I hope we scrap the 1-3-1.

I'm thrilled with this hire. I liked Heath here in Oregon at Portland state.

Schroyer has also been the harbringer of turnover in the head coaching position, the last 3 jobs he's had has had the head coach get fired.

Defense! I honestly think this is probably best person we could have gotten. We have a hole on the defensive side of things and I would rather take Heath than an up and comer.

I like this hire. He was presiding over the defense when Rose was first hired and BYU had a knack at the time of taking away every team's offensive strength during that time period. This is very positive.
