BYU ALL THE WAY!!!!
True. That and whether you prefer a more LDS environment.hawkwing wrote:Depends on what you want to study, I imagine. Lots of degrees at Stanford more prestigious than BYU. A few at BYU more prestigious than from Stanford.
Stanford isn't a very good team right now either. I understand the academics, but the basketball is a little bit of a risk right now going there if that's important to him. Also, not much fan interest there.Gunk wrote:True. That and whether you prefer a more LDS environment.hawkwing wrote:Depends on what you want to study, I imagine. My experience and observation is that an ungraduate degree at BYU, if you work hard and avail yourself of the opportunities at BYU, you will be very well prepared to go about anywhere you want and have the confidence of being well prepared and capable in whatever your future plans are. Perhaps graduate degrees are a different story, but as far as undergrad, BYU does you very well, and if you are not on full scholarship at a fraction of the cost of a Stanford undergrad degreehawkwing wrote:Depends on what you want to study, I imagine. Exactly. And undergrad is typically a stepping stone and BYU does it as well as anyone getting their students into grad programs.BoiseBYU wrote:My experience and observation is that an ungraduate degree at BYU, if you work hard and avail yourself of the opportunities at BYU, you will be very well prepared to go about anywhere you want and have the confidence of being well prepared and capable in whatever your future plans are.
