This Just In--Of Quitting Kings and GDP
1. King of Spain quits. He was so tired doing nothing that he felt he needed a break.
2. Heir to Spanish throne to demand an accounting for where all that New World gold went....
3. United Kingdom to start including illegal drug transactions and prostitution proceeds in calculating the nation's GDP. Investment bankers wondering why they didn't think of that sooner....
4. BTW, Italy did this some few years ago and when they did it boosted Italy's economy to something like fourth largest in the world...But they blew the proceeds of that development (metaphorically speaking of course) and are back down the ladder of GDP size
