The tv talking heads said there was over 50k in the stands how many was there really? It looked a little over half full from what i could tell from the comfort of my warm dry home.

Mostly full at the first, about half went home at halftime.

I got my tickets through Stub Hub, and ended up in the middle of a bunch of Boise State fans. More than half bailed at halftime, even though Boise was ahead at the time. We expected to be be leaving at halftime, but ended up staying to the end. My feet were completely numb, but it was worth it to be there. I was hoping they'd go for it on that final 4th down!
