I don't like loosing. I think Coach Edwards was in the middle. What ever he did he beat Utah about every year. That's what I want first. Then schedule other games with teams we have a good chance of beating with what we have. Throw in one or two hotshot programs. I still think a lot of schools like ours ought to make up conferences based on how much they are willing to pay for their programs. Let the big ones beat up on each other and let the rest of us have fun.

That's what I want. Schedule (and get up for) two P5 teams - Utah and one other (preferably Notre Dame when possible). Then fill the rest of the schedule with Utah State, Hawaii, Boise State, the Academies, etc.nuk13 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2019 2:54 pm I don't like loosing. I think Coach Edwards was in the middle. I like the Tom Holmoe model. I like it because we get to visit Tenn and compete everywhere. I'm okay with it because byu is always competitive against anyone.

Re: What would you rather have?
I'd like to know who thinks they are going 8-4 against this year's schedule or next years. I would take 8-4 every year against that schedule.

Re: What would you rather have?
I think a competent coaching staff could go 8-4 with this years schedule. I think (hindsight being 20/20) that a competent coaching staff would have had more than 8 wins per year the last 3 years.

Yep. It's 7-6 or 4-9 that really hurt.frdbtr wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2019 8:46 pmI think a competent coaching staff could go 8-4 with this years schedule. I think (hindsight being 20/20) that a competent coaching staff would have had more than 8 wins per year the last 3 years.
