2016 Home attendance

Post by Fido »

Numbers are looking good so far. I'm sure they will dip for Southern Utah and UMass (one would think) but I'm hopeful the numbers stay up provided the weather remains good for those 3 November games.

Stadium capacity: 63,470

UCLA: 62,904 (99.1% capacity)
Toledo: 62,230 (98.1% capacity)
Mississippi State: 62,184 (98.0% capacity)
Southern Utah:
UMass:
Utah State:

And that was with a better schedule. I guess we only had the 30 aggie fans attend that game. That was the uptick.

Yeah, it seemed like the Aggie fans I know were pretty down on their season by the time they got to that last game--and many probably didn't bother to go. It seems Matt Wells' leash is getting short if next year doesn't turn around some.

He's not helping himself with some of his panic moves. After losing a couple games in a row, he had an "optional" Sunday practice (which he told LDS recruits he would never do) and then punished players who didn't show. It's part of the reason why they are having a lot of transfers out of the program--the LDS kids don't trust him anymore.

Hard for me to have much sympathy for USU because of how annoying a lot of their fans are.
