I just disagree that those two are "true conservatives" as you posited, I also disagree that Giuliani is the best GOP mayor. Most visible? Likely. Best ever? Nah.
I would counter your list with a brief off-the-top-of-my-head list of folks who are not voting for Trump:
- Mike Lee -- more conservative than Jeff Sessions, FWIW
- Ben Sasse -- also more conservative than Jeff Sessions
- Mickey Edwards (founder of the Heritage Foundation)
So the "vote-with-these-guys" argument can cut both ways.

Thanks for your input. And, are these 3 supporting anyone that has a chance to beat Hillary?snoscythe wrote:I just disagree that those two are "true conservatives" as you posited, I also disagree that Giuliani is the best GOP mayor. Most visible? Likely. Best ever? Nah.

I would like to see Trump and his accusers to take a polygraph test and let's find out what the truth is. Oh you can't handle the truth!

I don't know. I don't know who I will be voting for here in Utah. It won't be Hillary, and it won't be Trump--I'm sorry, but I don't buy the "we have to burn the village with Trump to save it" theorem.Ddawg wrote:Thanks for your input. I'm also not voting McMullin--an on-the-surface good guy, but unqualified and unvetted. A guy who has never risen above middle-management in his life for President? Sorry, but I know a lot better qualified folks to write-in with equal effect. At this point I'm leaning towards Scott Walker as a write-in, but who knows.

First - who can't handle the truth? What are you talking about?scott715 wrote:I would like to see Trump and his accusers to take a polygraph test and let's find out what the truth is. Oh you can't handle the truth!
I would love to see a lie detector test given. How about a lie detector test given to Hillary re: her emails and handling Classified and Top Secret information. I think that has a direct bearing on her "fitness" to be commander in chief.
Would you not agree?

Well since no one has a chance at beating Hillary, the answer is no.Ddawg wrote:Thanks for your input. What happened to Scott Walker? I liked him too. Did he just set up a poor organization? Blow through his money too quick? I was surprised he never really caught on. Maybe he'll try again in 2020?snoscythe wrote:At this point I'm leaning towards Scott Walker as a write-in, but who knows.

Campaign lasted all of three months -- saw the writing on the wall in the crowded field and had to decide whether to raise money via donations or debt or to withdraw. Withdrew after second debate.SpiffCoug wrote:What happened to Scott Walker? I liked him too. Did he just set up a poor organization? Blow through his money too quick? Re: Starting to lean towards Evan McMullin for President
At this point I am voting my conscience and will be voting for Trump. He just helped me by saying he'll work for term limits. Until he is able to do this I will not be voting for incumbents like Mike Crapo and Mike Simpson. Trump is also a businessman rather than a politician.
I would also have liked to have had Scott Walker even though he is a politician. He stood up to the unions. I liked Dr. Carson too but not enough people voted for either of them.
The more this political thing boils the more it comes to me that incumbency is one of the worst things that has happened to this country politically.
