Re: Bama 2015
The CBS Sports article says that "Alabama is expected to play an FCS opponent in mid-November". So with their 4 conference home games, ULM, and a November FCS game then Alabama is looking for a 7th home game--like many of the P5 have become accustomed to.
BYU currently has published 5 home games and 6 road games. I don't blame BYU for not wanting to sign up and play 5 home games with 7 road games including Nebraska, Michigan, AND Alabama. The alternative is to postpone one of your road games (Southern Miss, San Jose State, or UNLV) and rearrange your schedule since Alabama will want this game in September when you are already playing Nebraska, Boise State, and Michigan.
There is also speculation that BYU already has an agreement for the 12th game and are waiting for media day to announce it. If that is the case then the only way to take advantage of this is to delay or cancel a game with someone else. Which certainly puts them in a bad way to fill the gap. And it really doesn't sound like Alabama is very interested in doing a home/away series unless it was the only possible way to fill the schedule. Even then, I would hold no confidence that Alabama wouldn't buy out the return trip to Provo anyhow.

IF BYU agrees to a 1 and done @Bama in 2015, they should be fired. Already have roadies at Michigan and Nebraska that year and only 5 home games scheduled. Adding a 3rd roadie to Bama would be suicide.
Come to Provo or forget it. Have to be smart with scheduling.

No chance it happens then. If Bama is willing to go on the road it will be in the south east for an automatic win vs traveling to Provo to play in front of 65k fans.hawkwing wrote:Completely agree.Lawboy wrote:IF BYU agrees to a 1 oand done with bama in 2015, they should be fired. Best option is neutral site game.

Re: Bama 2015
I looked at their schedule. They open in Texas agains Wisconsin and then they have a home with a FCS. That gives them 5 home and 1 neutral. They want a home game just like we do. Nothing will happen here.
