Hey guys,

Many of you know I (BYUCougarsFan) have worked at EFY for the past four years. I started as a counselor, but worked my way up to running sessions and working in the BYU Continuing Education office.

For years I've wanted to bring the blessings of EFY to the youth in Africa. There are currently foreign SMYCs (foreign EFYs) in Europe, Asia, and South America. But Africa hasn't had one yet.

I served my mission in Madagascar, and the program would be a HUGE blessing to this rising generation... almost all of which were born outside the covenant.

To date, we have almost 500 youth signed up to attend. It is one of the poorest countries in the world, but each teenager has been saving for months to pay the $10 a person.

The stake is paying for some of it. But food, housing, supplies, and staff travel costs add up. I will travel over and train them how to run it so they can do it for years to come.

I would love any help Cougarboard is able to give. If you could donate even a small amount, $5, $10, or $20 it would be a huge help to bring this blessing to Malagasies.

If you are able and willing to donate, or you just want to learn more, visit the blog site, http://www.malagasyyouthstories.blogspot.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Thanks guys!

Also, disclaimer: This is not officially an EFY program. I have worked at EFY for years and training people how to run it is my job, but I am running this, not the EFY office.

Thanks guys! If you have any questions let me know.

He's over $2,200 so far. Sounds like a good cause.
