Non-Conference Points Available Percentage & other Stats

Post by SpiffCoug »

See this chart that shows how BYU players are doing by looking at the following stats:

- Points Available Percentage. (How many points have you scored divided how many points you would have scored if you made every shot.)

- True Shooting Percentage (Points divided by ([2xField Goal Attempts]+[.44xFree Throw Attempts]) .)

- Effective Shooting Percentage (Field Goals plus 3-pt Field goals (times .5) divided by Field Goal Attempts.)

- Rebounds per 40 Minutes (Rebounds divided by Minutes times 40.)

- Points per 40 Minutes (Points divided by Minutes times 40.)

- Assist/Turnover Ratio (Assists divided by Turnovers.)

I think it's clear, that through 13 games, which is a decent set of data to start making smart decisions that maybe Halford should start seeing more time. Maybe we need to find out if he can produce at this rate with more minutes against more starters.

BYU PER W/L Since 1972: 432-76 (.850)
(8.4x
YDS)+(330xTD)+(100xCOM)-(200xINT)
