Oops, forgot to mention that BYU will play at home vs. Rhode Island this Friday at 7 pm and then the next day, again at home, is the big rivalry vs. U at 4 pm (if you'd like to meet up at the game, shoot me a pm).

Rhode Island forfeits (it's a long way to travel on the players' dime to just get whooped), no game on Friday, just vs. U on Saturday.

The Cougs close out the regular season with a big win and an impressive second half, beating the lowly Utes 17-4. The Cougars were up just 2-0 going into halftime, but turned up the intensity in the second half and had the game easily in hand at the end of the third and coasted through the fourth.

BYU will enter the RMLC conference tournament (May 2,3, and 4 in Grand Junction) as a three seed behind Colorado and Colorado State (who are #2 and #1 in the conference and in the country).

The Cougs fight hard and have a man-up chance to tie late in the game, but come up short against a very good Colorado team, 10-9. The Cougars will lick their wounds and look forward to the national tournament.

Despite a first-round exit in their conference tournament, the Cougars have been awarded the #4 seed in the upcoming national tournament in Greenville, SC:

Head Coach Matt Schneck is pleased with the team’s seeding and looking forward to returning to the National Championship Tournament. “We have been preparing for 9 months to make our return trip to Greenville,” Schneck said. “We are honored to represent BYU and the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference as one of the best 16 teams in the country vying for the 2013 MCLA National Championship.”

BYU up 6-2 at the half against Grand Canyon in the first round of the MCLA D-I tournament. All 16 can play and play well, the Cougars will need to be at their best all week if they want a shot at the 'ship.

Cougars win! 17-8 final. Will most likely play Chapman (beat them 11-8 in the regular season) in the quarterfinals. Slight chance we play Oregon (beat them 10-5 in the regular season).

The Cougars use a big second quarter, scoring seven, to down the Ducks from Oregon in a high-scoring affair, 17-14, sending them back to the semifinals to take on conference rival and undefeated No. 1 Colorado State on Thursday.
