Lights up....Kiwi, eat your heart out
Took until yesterday, but I finally got the lights up:
Again, these are not really my lights, just something I got in the holiday junk e-mail

Brilliant lights, CAFB. How did you do the Y on the yard, I've been wanting to do something like that for a long time but I haven't had a clue as to where to start.

If you look closely, it seems to be a peace sign.hawkwing wrote:Brilliant lights, CAFB. How did you do the Y on the yard, I've been wanting to do something like that for a long time but I haven't had a clue as to where to start.

Fortunately I ran into a great deal on the LCD lights at the local Atwoods (an outdoor/hardware store). The oval Y took 200 feet of lights. I just started at the bottom of the block Y and crawled across the lawn stepping back now and then to make adjustments. My lawn has a nice slope, so you can actually see what it says from the road. It's also on about a 4 mile final approach for McConnell AFB, so one of these nights I hope to get a night flight and take a snapshot from the cockpit.hawkwing wrote:Brilliant lights, CAFB.
