Austin Collie

Discussion for professional sporting events/teams and players.

This would be a great place to discuss the Super Bowl, the NBA Playoffs or whatever else.

Post by CannonCougar85 »

Collie had 10 receptions for 131 yards and a TD today in a losing effort.

Yes, it got me 27 points in one of my fantasy leagues. Go Collie!

even though he was the #1 receiver today AND the fact that he had BY FAR the fewest drops of the Colts WR corps (outside of Clark)

if Collie doesn't fumble on the Hou 11, Colts have a better shot to win this game.
Still, Glad to see him have such a great game. At least something worth cheering about this weekend.

Also, Garcon, Gonzalez, all had a TON of incomplete passes today. I hope Gonzalez ends up pushing them and not Collie. Colts have too many receivers!

Does anyone own Hall or Pitta yet?

Pitta is owned in the CougarCorner league, but not in my other league. Hall isn't owned in either.

FWIW. hall's primary competition, Anderson, did not have a great game yesterday. SI Pete King thinks it might happen sooner than later.

I personally don't want Hall to start this year at all despite his Preseason success until he's been in the NFL at least a year. Let them build a team around him and give the rookie a year to learn.

I don't get why Collie kept running after he caught it? Didn't he know the black guy was sure to catch him?

I check the Colts board from time to time and there is remarkably little chatter about Collie. Garcon is the message board favorite in spite of Collie consistently outplaying him.

It is also funny to me because they all love Garcon's speed and figure you can teach him how to catch more reliably. They like Collie because of his hands and routes but figure you can't teach speed.

I am starting to think you can't teach speed or catching/routes. And I would take catching and routes every day, especially because Collie had enough speed to take it 73 yards for the TD and consistently get open. Even on his fumble Collie saw the hit coming and covered the ball with both hands, but the three player hit jarred it loose.

I cut Garcon from my fantasy team yesterday. Over-Rated.
I'd pick up Collie in a second.

If you actually count how many times they throw to Garcon and how many of those are dropped....you'd think HE was the one who came from BYU and not Collie.

Oh yes I DID just say that.
