Super Bowl Storylines

Discussion for professional sporting events/teams and players.

This would be a great place to discuss the Super Bowl, the NBA Playoffs or whatever else.

Super Bowl Storylines

Post by Mars »

I try to watch almost every super bowl because, regardless of which two teams are playing in it, it's still THE SUPER BOWL (of course, I have to go in to work this Sunday night). That being said, what are the main storylines heading into this game? Here's my quick take:

1- Peyton Manning.
2- The feel-good story for the city of New Orleans post-Hurricane Katrina.
3- The Colts' young receiver core.
4- Experience and Expectations (the Colts have won a Super Bowl in the past 4 year, while the Saints have never even played in one before now).
5- Dwight Freeney?

What do you guys think?

-Two best QBs (statistically) in the Superbowl for the first time since SB 26.

-Tim Tebow vs the liberal media.

-My diet vs all the junk food that will be at the Superbowl party.

I'm just a regular, everyday normal guy,
I can't afford a car, I use public transportation,
I don't mind, I read till I reach my destination,
sometimes a newspaper, sometimes a book,
the money I save, this stuff is off the hook,

My diet during the Superbowl has remained the same for years:
1 big jug of milk
1 box of Oreos

Where the hell am I going and why am I in this handbasket?

I think the Colts being "pretty much" undefeated to this point proves that their young receiver core will not be a negative issue in this game.
Unless of course you meant that the Colts young receiver core is going to continue to kick butt, then I'd have to agree with you.
