Update: It turns out that his one last chance to impress the Spurs coaching staff won’t happen. While the move isnt official, news broke just minutes ago from Yahoo!Sports that Fredette will be waived by San Antonio today.

This comes as no shock when you look at the Spurs roster and who has been getting the preseason minutes. Jimmer played just 26 minutes of garbage time over two games while his competition saw much more action. On top of that, he didn’t shoot it well when he was on the floor making just two field goals.

Sad. His NBA days are over. Got screwed at the beginning of his career and was never able to play his way into minutes after that.

Not unexpected, unfortunately. When your value is your outside shooting, and you go 0-fer in the preseason, you see this coming miles away. Tough break....I bet Rick Reilly is somewhere writing a triumphant "told-you-so" article.

ESPN reporting he was picked up by Knicks D-league affiliate.
If it were me, I'd be joining Haws in Europe ASAP.
