Baseball: Defensive struggle ends regular season

In a nail-biting pitchers' duel, AFA managed to barely outscore the Cougs in the regular season finale, 22-19.

On to the tournament for the 25-29 Cougar bballers. I'd like to see the over/under on total points scored.

It's always a major embarrassment whenever BYU loses to Air Force in baseball. It's like losing to the Braille Academy for the deaf, blind, and dumb. They're terrible.

Tournament action. BYU lost to UNLV 9-1 in the first round to go to the losers bracket. They beat SDSU to eliminate them 16-8. Then today they beat Utah 25-18 to eliminate the Utes. New Mexico is next later today. That will be rough. By the way, these scores sound like football scores.

BYU just beat the Utes 25-18 in the MWC's baseball tournament and I thought, "dang, I'd take that score in football too!" Apparently the MWC hits off a tee?

We were up 6-0 in the 6th on New Mexico and ended up losing 7-6. The season is over. Good effort. We just need to recruit some more good pitching but it is tough to get those guys in between missions.

TCU beat Texas to get to the College World Series.
