'In the games that have followed the Boston College loss, the Cougars have gone 6-1 with wins over No. 22 Oregon, No. 5 Michigan State, San Diego State, No. 6 Colorado State, No. 13 Arizona and most recently No. 16 Westminster. The lone hiccup being at the hands of No. 2 Colorado.

"Sometimes through adversity you see guys that step up and people that find ways to bond together and make it work and I think that's been one of the keys for us," said Schneck. "When we got into January this year and found out we had 8 guys we needed to suspend and 6 guys that were having injuries with 3 season ending injuries, these guys had to dig deep and try to figure out how they were going to make it work and I think they've done a good job so far."'

We had a successful week, rolling over No. 8 UCSB on Wednesday, 12-5, and then on Saturday, after trailing much of the game 3-0 vs. No. 14 Cal Poly, we staged a second-half comeback, our defense didn't allow another goal, and we sneaked out with the 5-3 victory.

The team is still showing their youth and inconsistency, but they're finding ways to win in spite of it.

Next up: The No. 3 Cougs (2-1, 11-2) will stay at home and should have an easy tune-up game when they host New Mexico (0-1, 0-7) on Saturday, April 5.

Schmoe, thanks for the updates. I really enjoy them. Now, when I see that there is a lacrosse game on TV, I look to see if it might be BYU. Never is so far. They mostly show eastern teams.

Yeah, only NCAA Div. I teams on TV (usually three every weekend, I know because I DVR them). BYUtv used to do one game a season, I don't know what happened to that. A BYU game will get streamed online here and there, and the national semifinals and finals will usually be on some obscure channel like Fox Sports Rocky Mountain or some nonsense. Nothing like seeing a game in person, though, and you've got to be itchin' to get away from Florida for spring break, right?

I saw a couple of games on KBYU but it has been a couple of years. I see Coach Lamb on the SVU commercials.

As predicted, the No. 3 Cougars cruise past UNM, 35-0.
