Well, the Cougars put up one heckuva fight, giving No. 1 CSU all they could handle, but fell short in the end, losing 7-9. It looks likely that the MCLA Div-I will have an all-Colorado championship this year, as No. 2 Colorado plays ASU tonight in the other semifinal.

The Cougars finish off the season having been ranked #5 in the final regular season poll with an overall record of 16-5 (and having beat Chapman, who remained ranked above them despite a worse record and the head-to-head loss, not to mention getting ousted from the tourney in the very first round).

Great season, Cougars! It's sometimes hard to be satisfied when expectations are so high, but I'm grateful that we have a great squad of outstanding young men who have the potential to bring home an NC year after year.
