I had a friend that had a book called Death by Government. In it I saw the list of murderers and Stalin topped the list with at least what Ddawg quotes. Mao was next and Hitler was in third place with more than what you quote Ddawg. I don't remember Stalin's exact number and I don't care to remember it.

It's obvious that you don't like Mr. Trump Boisebyu, and you are free to think what you want. I am very thankful Clinton didn't beat him.
I admit that I have grave concerns about our President. You may not believe it but I do pray for him. I think he needs it. You won't hear me say anything but that Stalin (and Mao and Hitler) were unspeakable monsters
Finally, let us agree to disagree on the conservativeness (is that a word?) of the Majority Leader. Cheers!

Why would you not have concerns about FDR being chummy (in your words having a Bromance) with Stalin? When it came to murdering innocent people, Stalin made Hitler look like the Jr. Varsity. That's quite an accomplishment. Interesting that you ignore FDR's working relationship with Stalin - and attack Trump for saying he respects Putin. Lots of competitors "respect" their opponents. It does not mean they want to emulate them - or even like them.

If you put your personal dislike for Trump aside and evaluate the job Trump is doing - he's doing a pretty good job from a Conservative perspective. Mitt Romney thinks so.

From the Blaze 1 day ago:
"Romney had a lot to say about the new president, all of it positive."

"We’re all watching with interest. He’s obviously gotten off to a very strong start in terms of making a series of executive orders and making the changes that he promised during the campaign."

"He applauded Trump for proving his critics wrong by staying true to his campaign promises, especially the nomination of a conservative, Judge Gorsuch, to the Supreme Court. He also talked about being passed over for the Secretary of State position in the administration."

“I had very good meetings with, at that point, President-elect Trump,” Romney said, adding that he was encouraged that Trump “was willing to talk to me, given the fact that I had been so critical.”

The same man who recommended https://regiehammblog.wordpress.com/201 ... -nonsense/ also cautioned that facts won't change minds and hearts. The blog post won't either but it might bless someone who doesn't disagree with it the initiative to move from the sidelines to helping make America great again. There's a lot to rebuild (and don't stop the prayers, BoiseBYU).

Thanks for the encouragement! Trump isn't a Hitler or anything like unto that monster. Trump is Trump. And for me a cause of concern. And so I will keep praying. Maybe if we can get Trump to express as much displeasure with Putin as Nordstrom's we'll be making progress! So let's keep our hope up.

Biggest difference between Clinton/Obama and Trump -

Trump is able to separate the govt from the people. He is a champion of the people and it appears he isn't afraid to call out the mistakes of the government. I think we all agree that certain USA policies have caused a lot of trouble and heartache at home and around the world.

Obama/Clinton constantly attempt to lump the people of America in with the mistakes of the government. Instead of saying the government has made mistakes, they (clinton/obama) want to make the public feel bad/responsible that there was once a policy allowing slavery. They also try to use this to justify their agendas. It's dirty and it's rotten. Just like they are. They love subtlety putting blame on honest hard working Americans who want nothing more than to live their lives with freedom and without government interference.

The PEOPLE of America are truly exceptional. What the government has morphed into isn't much more exceptional than a large portion of the governments out there. Get busy draining that swamp Trump. We need it.

Very insightful. I belong to this group that believes in being punished for our own sins. We are not the government. Those people who made those decisions will have to answer for them...not me. I answer for my own mistakes.

This is greatly evidenced by statements that Democrat leaders have made. They may not realize how profoundly at odds their beliefs are with the founding principles of our nation.

Obama repeatedly said that slavery and racism is in our DNA. Think about what that means. You can't change your DNA. It's encoded in your very being. You can't remove it. You can't replace it. You can't improve it. It is simply is. So since it is in our DNA, it is always with us. We can't be forgiven of it, since we can't change it. We can't move past it, since it is still part of us, it is still with us, even if it is simply dormant.

A few years ago, Sen. Durbin (D-IL) said that slavery was a fatal flaw in our Constitution and our society. Think about what that means. What does it mean to have a fatal flaw? It means this mistake, this imperfection will doom us. And since the flaw is fatal, does it really matter if the fatality occurs today, tomorrow or 10 or 100 years from now? The result is the same - the Constitution dies. And with its the American society. So if it is destined to die, why fight for it? This flaw can't be removed and this flaw will kill us.

Between those two statements you see part of the psyche of the American Democratic Party. It no longer believes in America. You see this playing out in the "Resistance" to Trump. In Black Lives Matter and other revolutionary groups protesting - at times extremely violently - against America; against our way of governing; against everything we stand for.

It's a said commentary.

I think a lot was revealed when Obama exclaimed " It's not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

well, I suppose those clingers could resort to violent "protests" and creating chaos, but I haven't seen much of that from the right... yet.
