Anyone who has ever talked about shooting or killing any politician because of their political views is partly at fault for what happened. We need to remember that thoughts turn to speech and speech turns to action. It's unacceptable to behave or talk in that manner.

Here we go - it's everybody's fault.

Please show me where, at any college, liberal speakers have been attacked by conservatives? Please show me where a GOP or Conservative person has shot a Dem politician - say - in the past 30 years? Beyond that, I don't recall of-hand.

Time to cut the politically correct baby pablum. Time to be students of truth. There is 1 political group around here that advocates violence and engages in violence to intimidate and silence their political opposition (it's the socialist Dem party). There is 1 political party that weaponized the IRS to crush and silence their political opposition (it's the socialist Dem party). There is 1 party that violently attacks students and speakers on college campuses that they disagree with (it's the socialist Dem party).

Is it really so much to ask for honesty?

My post had nothing to do with conservatives or liberals. I think anyone specifically calling for violence against another because of their political beliefs is wrong. Are you saying you disagree with that statement?

Of course I disagree with your generic, general, baby pablum, spread the blame statement. Your statement is a "general" feel good statement. The shooting in in Alexandria, VA by James Hodgkinson was not a general event. It was specific. He specifically went on a search and destroy killing mission. Hunting for a specific target - Republicans. He listened specifically to left wing talking heads. His favorite was angry Rachel Maddow. He specifically was a Bernie Sanders socialist.

Please tell me who on the GOP side is calling for killing of Democrats? Who on the GOP side is refusing to let liberal socialist Democrats speak on college campuses and violently attacking the people that want to hear them speak? No one.

There is a specific problem in this country with aggressive, hostile rhetoric and actions. People are being hurt and property destroyed by angry socialist Dem's.

If there are any GOP folks who physically attack or shoot any Dem's, I will specifically condemn them. Until then, let's be students of truth and address what is going on in this country.

Remember, when an Arizona Democrat Congresswoman was shot in the head in 2011, many people were quick to blame right-wing politics for the attack: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Tucson_shooting

That was the initial knee jerk reaction. Turns out they were wrong.

So, what are you suggesting? That James Hodgkinson was not a lefty Bernie Sanders supporter? Exactly what is your point?

Here's an interesting article for your illumination.
"Dems ask themselves: Has their rhetoric gone too far?"

But even amid the moment of political Kumbaya, a pointed criticism emerged from Republicans: They accused Democrats of fomenting the violence after reports surfaced that the shooter — James T. Hodgkinson of Belleville, Ill. — was a supporter of Bernie Sanders. Hodgkinson wrote often about his hate of the GOP, and, to these Republicans, his decision to take violent action was implicitly encouraged by the Democrats’ unrelenting attacks against President Donald Trump.

Suddenly, it’s Democrats — paired with a political base that hates the new president — who are on the defensive about their rhetoric. And even for a party that believes deeply in opposing Trump, the shootings are spurring reflection about how its leaders talk about the president — and whether they need to be more careful with their words.

“This is a powder keg right now, so everyone in authority has to be very careful with the words the say,” said Nina Turner, a former Democratic state senator from Ohio and a high-profile Sanders supporter.

Turner said she even though she believes earnestly in opposing the president, she thought the Democratic Party had become too personal and too harsh in its criticism. As she put it, the party had “taken away the modicum of humanity” of the president.

Here's another shooting incident that happened 2 days ago on Tuesday. Gee Mars, let's not jump to conclusions here ...... they shot at a truck flying a "Make America Great Again Flag", and an American flag. What to make of the incident eh?

"Several shots fired at truck flying ‘Make America Great Again’ flag on I-465"

"INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Indiana State Police say shots were fired at a truck carrying a “Make America Great Again” flag and an American flag on eastbound I-465 Tuesday."
