I believe the main reason that Mr. Trump is compared to Hitler is how they rose to power. Both ran as populists, with a nationalism undertones. That is the clear comparisons, but there are some murkier ones. Some see Trump as bringing out the worst the country: such as violent followers (which I think the US has blown out of proportion), and the racism (White Nationalist/Supremacist Neo-Nazi) supporting Trump. Most of these are fairly weak arguments and are meant to undermine the new administration and further divide the country.
If Cruz had been elected they would be calling him Hitler as well. It is just part of the Prog-lib Dem playbook. What you describe came after the fact. They were calling him a fascist from the get go. I wouldn't even be surprised if Dr Carson had won and they called him a Hitler. Except they usually have a different playbook for blacks "that stray from the plantation" (Uncle Tom and so on). Its just how they operate. Bill Maher compared Romney to Hitler back in the 2012 elections.
So if you want the worst abusers of name calling look to the left. They are pro's at it.

Constantly calling Trump "Hitler" reinforces the narrative of the combined Left, Media, and Establishment. It makes sense to destroy the lives of Hitler and his supporters. Rioting is necessary because it weakens Hitler. Would you tell a lie if it got rid of Hitler? Trump, who is Hitler, is dangerous, random, out of control, and will hurt us and things we care about or give us meaning. Constantly calling Trump's first weeks of presidency "chaos" is part of the same tactic. Trump's effective uses of that tool include "Crooked Hillary", "Lying Ted", "Little Marco", and "Low-energy" Bush. His choice of Twitter when he recognized that the Evening News, daytime television, sports commentators, the Deseret News, and other erudite sources would never give his message unpolluted was brilliant and enabled his use of that and other effective tools.

This war is one of persuasion, and the stakes are much much larger than America's presidency although it's a necessary battle. Hillary's campaign moved from being silly, error-prone, and condescending to being powerful and likely to win when it gained the help of people who recognized that. Facts play so little part in winning that they should generally be ignored. Confirmation bias - recognizing something that Trump did (or was said to have done) that Hitler also did - ties that emotional picture in our hearts as we recognize that Trump is Hitler. Remember how "Low Energy" easily took out Bush as his behavior showed his lack of necessary vitality. The truth of the words isn't important. Comparisons shouldn't be appropriate.

Nobly seeking the affirmation of the media, Hollywood, parts of government tradition and crossing the aisle, has weakened the side of truth and generally kept it from winning at the cost of millions of lives. Lord Cardigan and his noble Charge of the Light Brigade come to mind. Evil never plays by the same rules or rather, it's playing the "real" game and its opponents refuse to recognize that - they/we fear recognizing the real game, the real rules, the real sacrifices, and the real consequences of winning or losing. Many if not most liberals fall into that "they/we" category too. They have good intentions and need self worth just like those on the right and can all be persuaded to be "useful idiots".

Having a president with the mutually exclusive skills to win the presidency and to correctly govern and who also has the political capital necessary to bring in good people and good policy is so rare that I (carefully) think is divinely sent. I can see why evil is desperate to help us see that Trump (IF Trump is one of the amazing few) is Hitler and Trump's designs are to destroy us, our families, and our comfortable way of life. Our country has received the gift of a second chance and we can help make America and her divine purpose great again.

(fwiw I know that Trump, at best, is neither God nor a prophet and that Truth is essential.)

This is further demonstrated by the fact that there were protestors outside the White House immediately following the announcement of Neil Gorsuch as SCOTUS nominee. They were waving #STOP: GORSUCH signs. The problem, the "Gorsuch" portion of the sign wasn't printed. It was written in marker. The #STOP was printed. So these protesters were going to protest no matter who was nominated. They are protesting (fill in the blank).

These are evil people seeking to destroy or nation.

So far Trump is doing a good job. Not perfect but he is on the right track for the most part.

The unions are fighting the SCOTUS nomination as it will probably lead to major losses for them.

good. I would be happy to see all money grabbing, greed seeking wage garnishing forms of socialism die an untimely death at the hands of the scotus.

I believe this is what America wants and why Trump actually prevailed. The people are starting to see through the schemes of unions who claim to be protecting them.

This is very similar to what happened to Joseph Smith.

So you prefer the CEO to be paid millions instead of decent wages for the worker?

Bingo! I saw that too. Very coincidental eh? I also saw that within 20 minutes they had a 78 page opposition out against Gorsuch. Weird. How did that happen?

The truth is Pres. Trump could have nominated George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, or Jesus Christ himself. All 3 would have been derided and protested from the democrat machine and called unfit.
