I look forward to your review of Recruit.

I need to read 4-7 of mistborn but liked 1-3 very well. Saw the 5th Wave movie and liked it OK, but it wasn't anything special. Probably won't read the book.

A book endorsement and a book question.

I just finished Brandon Sanderson's "Warbreaker." I enjoyed it.

Has anyone read Thomas Sowell's "Basic Economics"? I just got it on Audible and listened to the first chapter. Interesting so far.

I liked Warbreaker, it's actually one of my more favorite Brandon Sanderson books.

I haven't yet tried Basic Economics, but I did just finish McCullough's Wright Brothers which I found quite interesting.

Finished Recruits. Liked it. It's a young adult novel focusing on a girl, her new crush, and trying not to be killed by a despotic future government that's gone more than a little paranoid since the end of the world. I liked it better than Maze Runner, about the same as The 5th Wave, almost as much as Divergent book 1. I'll definitely read book 2 in the series, once it's released.

Next up: The Infinite Sea, Armada, Warbreaker. Prolly.

Is this our last book thread? I read The Infinite Sea (Yancey), Armada, and Warbreaker (Sanderson). I read Station Eleven, The Emperor's Soul (Sanderson), The Rithmatist (Sanderson), and The Monstrologist (Yancey). Also, New Haven book 2: Revolutionaries. Really all of these novels were very good.

I read the Girl on the Train and was slightly disappointed, it was okay, but not great. I am looking forward to the movie, as a lot of my annoyance with the book was the fact that I was listening to it on Audible and I found 1 of the characters accent very annoying.

I also read Alloy of Law (Sanderson) which was good, I thought he improved on his character portrayal from some of his earlier works.

I am reading World War Z (Brooks) now, which has been entertaining, as well Hyperion (Simmons) (2nd time reading it) and I'm enjoying it as well, last time I read it I was just out of High School.

Also just reread New Haven 2: Revolutionaries and enjoyed it. Looking forward to the 3rd and final installment.

I loved WWZ (the book, not so much the movie).
Loved all the Mistborn books.
Hyperion is on my to-do list. It is rated very highly on GoodReads fantasy top 50.

Just finished "The Boys on the Boat" and loved it. I'm driving tons for work now and so I've renewed my pursuit of the best audio books.

I listen to audio books as I run, so if you find any particularly great books in audio format let me know.

The narrator who does Patrick Rothfuss' Name of the Wind and What the Wise Man Fears does an awesome job. And the books are HUGE so listening while will get you through many, many runs. I think the first book is like 28 hours and the second book is 42 hours.
