Re: James Anderson
Yeah, his FOUR minutes of game action yesterday is what cost us the game. He was the only player responsible for the loss.

He sure didn't contribute much. Rarely ever does.

Re: James Anderson
Nope. In all honesty, the only game so far where he was a difference maker was Arizona. And even then it was only on the defensive end.Italics wrote:One foul. 0-3 on FT"s. 0-1 from the field. 1 rebound. 1 TO. 0 pts.kitic77 wrote:Yeah, his FOUR minutes of game action yesterday is what cost us the game. He was poor yesterday, but so were a lot of other players. To single him out, when he hardly played and claim he kills the team is just ignorant and hating.

Re: James Anderson
We had 20 turnovers yesterday and shot 20-something percent from the 3 point line. Neither of those had a thing to do with James.

Re: James Anderson
Not to hate on the guy, but does he really have division I skill? I don't think so. Maybe he was the best available at the time. Hopefully I just don't know what I'm talking about and he goes on a tear sometime in the near future.

Re: James Anderson
James Anderson has to be the only D 1 player in the nation that cant catch the ball when its passed to him. Its pathetic. Please tell me the two 7 footers coming off missions arent this bad?

Re: James Anderson
There are 345 D1 bball programs. I imagine there are quite a few that would take him on their roster. Are any of those top 25 teams? Probably not.BYULV wrote:Not to hate on the guy, but does he really have division I skill? I don't think so. Maybe he was the best available at the time. Is he likely to go on a tear in the near future? Probably not. He is what is. A tall kid who likes basketball who can of use to BYU on the defensive end. He is not skilled offensively, and he probably should pass the ball out of the post a little more. But he gives good effort and Rose knows what he'll get out of him.
He's not going to be all-conference guy. If you're disappointed by him, maybe you need to reevaluate what you're expecting from him.

Re: James Anderson
I love how the players with ball in their hands most of time and committ most of the turnover/errors don't even get a whiff of the amount of critiscim Anderson gets.

Re: James Anderson
And out come the wolves. I agree with kitic and Gunk. JA is who he is. He's not going to beat teams for you, but generally he isn't going to hurt BYU a lot either. Just a role guy who knows what his role is. Every year we go through this. Of course it would be nice to have 5 guys on the court who could score 20 every night, but you guys need to quite fantasizing and start enjoying BYU basketball. I'm proud of 10-1 from a group of guys who could easily be 7-4 or 6-5 right now.
