4 times. The guy looked like he was playing volleyball. Hartsock has been key to this year's success. Glad we've got him for awhile.

Hartsock's a stud. Even if he does come from Bartlesville (no love).

I think he steps up for the big games. He's definitely a big reason for 20-1.

There is no question that Hartsock has been another important piece of the puzzle and certainly more effective than JT when mixed with the other starting four. However, last night, he was a little overmatched, tired or off his game. Abouo filled a major need against SDSU"s athleticism toward the end of the game, at the 4 spot, if I am not mistaken.

there's not really a 4 when you're running a zone though, and the offense never looked inside while Charles was in, in fact JT was the underneath guy on offense when sir charles was on the court.

I was happy to see Charles get some very very important minutes, however in our biggest conf tourney game against SDSU last year it was Hartsock who was the difference maker, so I wouldn't say Noah was outmatched, I'd just say that Charles was playing better.

(these guys have come a long way from being garbage, eh mars?)

Totally. The Hartsock from this year and the one from last year are nothing like each other.

AMEN, now if we could get JT, to play shooting wise, like he did 2 years ago.

"Athleticism" has got to be the most meaningless term in the dictionary. What on earth does it mean? I knew a guy who could high jump 7 feet, he tried to play basketball but he couldn't dunk the ball (a skill issue, not an athletic issue). I've played against guys who were way faster than me, could jump higher than me (and probably had a faster 40 time), but I killed them in basketball because I was very skilled--they were athletic.

Rebounding is far more a skill issue (and commitment) than an "athletic" issue. If you don't position yourself properly, and block somebody out, you won't get the rebound, whether you can jump out of the gym or not.

Shooting has little if anything to do with "athleticism," it has everything to do with practice, form, and good decision making.

Ball handling has little if anything to do with "athleticism," it has everything to do with practice.

Free throw shooting has nothing to do with "athleticism," but has everything to do with routine, good form, and practice.

So what part of basketball is "athleticism?" I don't quite get it. Yes, there is a little, if a guy makes a steal and can out run everybody down the court because he's fast, I guess that qualifies, but that doesn't happen very often.

Can someone tell me why no one uses the term "skill" anymore? Skill is far more important in basketball than "athleticism." I just dislike the term, it means nothing, and like "cool" or "whatever" or "like" has come to mean absolutely nothing.

bball--would you have preferred the explanation that it was "skill" that neutralized hartsock against sdsu? I doubt it. He plays a certain brand of ball that will be outplayed by speed and yes, athleticism. Again, love the improvements over last year, we can really start to see why he broke so many records in OK, but how else would you explain why he wasnt in the end of the game?

Or Jackson Emery like he shot three weeks ago.
