In truth, if opposing teams have to spend time game-planning for Cannon, he has already provided a good benefit.

You put together film on every player you expect to see the floor, even it it's as simple as "this guys is right-handed and shoots it well from three."

Any warm body on the active roster provides that benefit.

Trap question? I'd say yes. Scouting report would read. "Decent handles, decent shooter." how much game planning would you need to prep for cannon? He's an above average church ball player.

Chatman had a pretty good game against Duke earlier. Would Cannon look as good against Duke? I don't know. Maybe.

Cannon did not look that good against Weber. Played some solid D but that's about it. Reality may be setting in for him. Still better than some guards we've had in the past.
