What they did was literally not against the rules because any NC student could take those classes. Now they will get in trouble with their accreditation provider, but not NCAA.
Hawk is right. When you make the fraud available to all, it is not against the NCAA rules regarding benefits to athletes. What UNC did was be an equal opportunity fraud university. I'd be embarrased beyond belief to be a Tar Heel alumn

I think technically the NCAA investigation into UNC is still ongoing. Yes, I know, they're taking forever.

Mars wrote: Sat Oct 28, 2017 2:26 am It might benefit the team more for him to miss the season. We got a new kid who can dish out assists without turning it over.
Now you're just being silly. We don't need our best defender? Even off the bench? This is the kind of online badgering I'm talking about.
What about this kind of badgering?.... (sorry I couldn't resist :D )
Brayden Green wrote: Sat Oct 21, 2017 10:40 am Mika was a black hole. Every time he got the ball he would just run lateral to the basket and throw in a wild shot. He is lucky that he got fouled on that play as often as not.

I know it sounds contradictory, but this team will be better without him. Yoeli is NBA talent, and Dastrup looks ready to contribute seriously.
To be fair, I don't see either of the above comments as being too much badgering or attacking or anything like that. I appreciate the stuff you guys post.

Badgering? You must be thinking of Wisconsin.

Badgers? We don't need no stinking badgers!

Also, point taken. You're probably right. I'm probably still mad that Mika broke up with me / us. :~( :~( :~(

Nick seems like a good dude when I've talked with him, and he hustles like no one else on the court does. I hope the best for him and my Cougs.

I guess this may not come as a surprise but Emery will not be playing in our season opener or until the NCAA investigation is over.

Unfortunate. I hope that he can play for us this season, but if he did something wrong then consequences have to follow...

He never should’ve taken the Thunder Mountain ride.

Per Wrubell’s tweet, Emery has withdrawn from BYU and left the team.

Is this "quitting" on a team?
