When he didn't sign in the early period after committing to BYU, it was pretty obvious he wasn't coming to BYU.

He said today that he decided against BYU because he would have been behind Haws and Emery and therefore without as much opportunity to impact the game.

I doubt that Haws and emery standing in his way were the real reason, but whatevs.
