5-year Extension for Coach Rose

A good tidbit from another article about his extension:

"The [BYU] basketball program [under Coach Rose] has earned recognition from the NCAA for its high Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores over the past three seasons. In fact, BYU is one of only three men's basketball programs to earn APR recognition and an NCAA Tournament berth in each of the last three seasons, joining North Carolina and Villanova."

You'd think during that time BYU could have burst through that first round at some point. Talk about bad seeds and matchups every year.

I wonder if he will be scooped up before the contract is over. I think he is a really good coach and we have certainly been getting the talent lately.

I think Rose might be a lifer at BYU. Given his health, I could see him wanting to simply stay where he is now. I could his health ending his career before he would leave for another school.
