So I have a question

Never banned or warned.. BUT... I also didn't post very much over there.. there were a select few who thought they were mods... but weren't.. who didn't always show respect to someone who didn't share they same opinion..

My most amusing moment on CB was after the Puke game last year. All year long many posters had been wishing for the Pukes to go undefeated so we could beat them and look better. Well, we got schooled by them. They go undefeated. We have to live with their fans for an entire year. Granted, I am a multi-decade BYU fan. I am almost just as much a Puke hater. Something just sticks in my craw when they win and I get the constant feeling of bile getting stuck in my throat. That being said, I let emotion get the best of me and I posted, after the game, a diatribe calling out those who wished the Pukes to be undefeated going in to the game. I said, "Screw you and the horse you rode in on." Admittedly, I was wrong. Justifiably, my post was yanked. Here I am, a year later, with no regrets about having made that post or having it yanked. But it did moderate my feelings and caused me not to post when emotional.

I promise no overly-emotional posts on CougarCorner. I'm just grateful to be here.

LOL, I am glad there are no regrets, nor ill will because more than likely, I was the one that yanked it. As a matter of fact, I am pretty sure I remember that thread because it made me laugh, even though it was not appropriate by the guidelines of the time. Good times, thanks for the memory. No hard feeling here.

Sorry, I have been very busy this last week so I did not respond. Here is what I sent to snoscythe via Facebook:

It is a long story. The short story is kiwibacon=breeddud. Cougarblue had just updated and stating that their forums were now better and spam/porn free...low and behold two spam/porn posts pop up.Yesterday, I logged in as breeddud (an account I had requested they delete 2 months ago) My breeddud account worked to my surprise before the update it would not work. I assumed this is why the spammers/porn pushers were able to get on the site because admin thought bans were working but clearly they were not because an old account I have became active. So @ 7pmMST, as breeddud, I logged in to bump threads to get two "porn spam" threads buried to page two. I did that because the porn threads had been there and I reported them for 3 hours WITH NO ACTION BEING TAKEN. After 3 hrs I decided to bump the threads because they were not being deleted in what I consider a timely manner. I figured that burying the threads was better than having them at the top. Maybe you saw the "breeddud" bumps that said' "bumping this thread to move the porn spam to the second page." Admin/mods did not like the fact that I bumped threads. They also did not like that I used an alternate account to do it. They saw my actions as malicious and "spam" and banned my two accounts, kiwibacon & breeddud. I called TannerC, who is one of the main admins and he said I was on a permanent ban. He said that I had broken rules. I asked him to point out in the user agreement what I had done wrong(multiple accounts is/was not on there but when I started to moderate I had tried to make it a rule...it was an unwritten rule that I had started based on previous actions of Jared Cowley...) He could not state what exactly within the user guidelines other than spam and malicious activity was what I had done. I argued that my actions were not malicious but rather helpful to the community. I suggested if he is going to change the rules he may want to post them so others do not experience what I am experiencing. It was basically a shoot first ask questions later kind of event on their part. I got shot and now after the shooting they implement the rules for which I was banned...after the fact...Tannerc said that as a gesture of goodwill he will make my ban temporary but I still cannot post for 1 week and when my ban is over I will be watched very closely...I am being treated worse than the REAL trolls. Good grief.

Sadly, Matt has significantly decreased his board time since his divorce. I did see him post that we would kill the Frogs though.

I wasn't banned, I didn't even get warned or anything. I personally got sick of all the stupid arguments and posters who's sole purpose in life is to argue(Steed, BuckingBronco). I'm here to discuss sports, that's it.

I got warned several times (mostly for calling a troll a troll), and had harmless posts deleted without explanation. The mods over there have a kiss-my-*** attitude and are "always right," even when calling faithful posters "freaking jerks" for exposing their incompetence.

I don't think I was warned but then again I did not really notice or think much about PMs until I notice sno had sent me one about this site....
