I have a feeling it's close to 20 guys drafted from teams that we beat last year...

Minus our 1 and TCU's 3, that means we beat 9 NFL players from our league, plus the Oklahomas, Oregon States, and maybe Utah States and Tulanes.

Agreed. To recruit blue-chip athletes you have to have a proven track record of putting a large number of kids in the NFL. The best High School kids are looking at their University as a way to make sure they get a good spot in the draft. BYU, for at least the last several years, has not been able to do this. Don't get me wrong BYU has done a great job but I don't think we'll be able to recruit the really exceptional athletes until we can show that we can put them high the first round.CougarClaw wrote:6 of those were from Utah? I do not think he have to get them high first round, just get many of them in the first four rounds. If we can get 4-6 drafts per year, over a 4 year period have 16 or so, that would be great. That would be like the 80's teams, which had more guys drafted than the last 10 years by far. But I suspect we are on the wy. give it 2 more years or so, then we will see it.BerliNY wrote:Agreed. Though we just had a class of exceptional athletes sign this year... it's a start.BerliNY wrote:Agreed.
