Which doesn't mean much.

I agree with Harmon, which also doesn't mean much.
And I agree with Harmon and BroncoBot ... which still doesn't mean much. :P

Several years ago I worked at a really disfunctional company, YouSendIt. At the time there was lots of Silicon Valley buzz around the company. Many were expecting it to be the next tech darling and on the surface all signs pointed that way.

The CEO was an idiot and in way over his head. Couldn't make a decision. My first week in the job he announced the company was going to go public. Yay! Four weeks later he retracted the statement, saying after he looked into it, going public was a bit more complicated than they anticipated and the company wasn't quite ready. Red flag.

The second red flag was the perpetual habit the CEO had of hiring failed executives from Yahoo. Yahoo is/was a "losing" company. Why would you hire execs from a company going down the drain? There was a reason Yahoo was failing and the execs he hired played a role.

A few months later my entire team was laid off. While hard, we welcomed the out. Less then 6 months later YouSendIt's valuation tanked as it struggled to remain competitive and the entire executive staff was forced out by the investors. The company has gone two CEOs since and a rebrand. It's a shadow of what it once was.

Sitake hiring coaches from losing programs speaks volumes. Holmoe hiring coaches from losing programs speaks volumes. As long as we are hiring coaches from failed teams, BYU football is going no where.

I blame the workers.

Clearly the CEOs weren't the ones actually creating the marketing or typing the codes!!

;) ;) ;)

From http://www.sltrib.com/sports/2017/12/07 ... he-fixing/:
"According to one source, the Cougars already have offered the job to a candidate and are awaiting word."
which is pretty thin, but maybe we'll have someone announced soon if it works out.

I recall Bronco firing Jaime Hill as defensive coordinator after the defensive performance was atrocious. Bronco took the reins back and the defense ended up solid the rest of the year. Same players (workers), different CEO, marked improved results. I side with Gunk’s conclusion.
