Hmm, when did this happen under Bronco...

Latte-gate? O'Neil Chambers? I'm old and my memory is fuzzy.

Neither one of those 2 examples was even remotely similar to the Pau'u situation. Mrs. Chambers used to visit this board and supported Bronco in his discipline of O'neil the whole time. In fact, if I am right, O'neil graduated from BYU eventually.

Everyone said Bronco was aloof and didn't have great relationships with his players and yet, this kind of thing never happened.
Having close ties to several guys who played under Bronco, I can tell you that the REPORTS were that Bronco was aloof ... but the players felt pretty close to him, they loved him and still defend him. He held them accountable, and didn't let them become "besties" ... that way he never had to change a relationship in order to discipline a guy or correct him when he made mistakes.

Accountability is a lot easier when it's consistently applied. Otherwise it feels like you're being jerked around. Which...you kind of are.
I think THIS accurately describes the problem.

Latte-gate? Are you referring to Ryan Kessman? Who flat out lied to Bronco's face when the three other students who were with him told the truth?

The same guy who bragged on Facebook about how his girlfriend was going to move in with him at BYU as soon as she grad HS. 🤪

What was the whole locker-scandal? It's funny trying to remember these little things.

The locker scandal was that someone (some ppl said Riley) packed oneill Chamberse bag and put it in his locker in an attempt to say "you're outta here". I don't know the whole story and that is simply how I remember it. Most likely total hearsay.

I though "locker gate" was some issue with Heaps and getting his choice of locker as an incoming Freshman and getting to get the lockers on each side of him for his buddies?

I thought the bag packed story was Brandon Ogletree packing up Heaps gear.

Turned out to be rather prophetic.

That stemmed from Heaps laying claim to a prime locker before any of the seniors (had traditionally been seniors get first pick, on down to freshmen and walk-ons last) got their chances to relocate.
