Well heck, why don't we just convert and baptize Nick Saban?UCChris wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2017 1:32 amThe latter option being the best for the future of BYU sports.
Seriously though, I don't have a problem with the HC having to be LDS, for all the reasons others have already said. But the program definitely needs A LOT more money to hire the best assistant coaches possible to help the HC out.

I love it when people split hairs to prove a point. Seriously, he has coaching experience.

I love it when people post fake information to prove their point.

Actually there was no intent for "fake information" on what I posted, I just assumed they all played college ball. Unlike you I apparently didn't care enough to research it any further then I did. It still doesnt change my opinion about him being a decent option. If you go back and look I have said time and time again I didn't like hiring former players with little to no coaching experience just to make the boosters feel good.
He has experience, more experience then you seem to give him credit for. 8 years of coaching semi pro ball is still coaching experience. What did Cahoon or Reno Mahe have?

I don't think his experience warrants the jump to NCAA big time college football. If he wants to coach at BYU he should get a few years experience at Snow, and work his way up.

It's all moot. As much as I would love to see Drage coaching at BYU, if we replace the WR coach it is going to be Roderick who is already buddies with Sitake.

Roderick has experience ... GA at BYU then at Snow, SUU, and on to the team up north.

And that is where my problem with him begins and ends. Of course if he coaches some toughness into our receivers, then all will be forgiven.
