Important Mississippi Facts
In a further effort to better understand our opponents and expand our horizons we present important facts about where they are from. BYU is turning its sites on Miss State. so it is time for us to do the same. Here are important facts about the Great State of Mississippi (with some editorial liberties

Mississippi became the 20th state on December 10th 1817. It would have joined sooner, but members of Congress could not get past the “pp” part of the State’s spelling and the incessant giggling that ensued in order to put the state’s admission to a vote.
Mississippi has 82 counties, all of which have at least one thriving weight watchers franchise.
The state flag of Mississippi could be described as a little bit of the Confederate flag and a little bit of the French flag. It’s state motto follows: Give us enough time and we’ll surrender!
Mississippi is an Indian name which means "nature’s way of getting rid of two-wide trailers down by the river"
