Wow, this feels like a close call. How many pick 6s have we had? Stat of the year if we have scored more for the other teams than for ourselves. (And there's a safety to count too).

I think they would have scored more than that if Hoge hadn't gotten injured. Of course injuries are part of the game.

To be fair, not too many teams can do well relying upon a third string QB.

BYU may have done better with our 3rd string QB if they had actually practiced during the bye-week and given him solid reps in case an injury occurred to the starter who had been concussed in the previous game. Instead, the decision was made to take a week off of football.

The offense is just a bunch of no-talent idiots, especially at offensive line. The cupboard was left extremely bare thanks to Doman and Anae's ridiculous recruiting "strategy." What kind of idiot repeatedly holds and false starts against Utah State? Just do a silent three count and block the guy in front of you. If you can't do it, there are freshman that can. Empey's guys did a tremendous job at pulling us out of winning situations all night last night. That offensive line is an undisciplined pile of yewt mess.

Empey needs to make changes and/or get his guys disciplined, or BYU needs to find someone who will.

Also, Beau going down was the difference. This offense has been completely tailored to him over the last 3 weeks, and Koy isn't game ready. There isn't anything that you can do when your 3rd string guy comes in and throws 3 picks and your players make so many mistakes.

Troy State of the Sun Belt Conference just beat LSU 24-21 at LSU. Troy had 208 yards rushing against a defense that Coach Sataki said was the best defense he's seen. Makes the Cougars offensive effort against LSU look that much worse.

Always glad to see the SEC eat a little humble pie.
