The most discouraging aspect of this game is I can’t see any clear way of fixing the problems with this team. Beau being back will fix some things, but this game was lost by multiple units.

I stand by my statement that Koy Detmer is a bad option at QB. We better hope that Tanner or Beau is ready next week. I just don't see any way that BYU comes out of the next 2 weeks with a victory. Will this team be able to regroup and get 6 wins in a row after going 1-6? I don't see this team beating Hawaii on the islands this year so my opinion is that they won't. I think they will be lucky to win 1 to 2 more games all year. And folks, it is not all on the offense. The defense does just enough to lose as well. This entire team is in disarray.

I'll go ahead and join you on Koy. It looks like he would need a lot more reps to be close to ready. I sure hope Hoge is back.

With Hoge I'm actually feeling better about this season than I did coming in to tonight's game. Without, I can see a 3 win season.

I'm not as negative. Coy improved as the game went on. Get rid of even 1/2 the turnovers and the game is winnable. Clean them all up and byu wins.

Not sure any other team will strip the ball as well as usu ...

This was all on the offense. The D had one bad drive and then dominated. Then the O just kept giving the ball back. Same story in the second half. That emotionally wore the D out who fought but the O kept coughing up the ball. We win this game easily if not for the seven giveaways. The were not takeaways they were giveaways. And what the heck do our QBs see? Throwing to people that are buried. They hit guys in the back. I don't know what they were looking at. QB play was absolutely awful.

Hoge had an ugly pick 6, but I was surprised at how decent he looked. Could be a QB controversy.

The turnovers were the reason we lost the game but the defense gave up 1st downs late in the game that would have given the offense more chances to help us win. Clean that up and BYU possesses the ball again. I am not saying the defense sucked, but they didn't get USU off the field enough.

Everyone who plays BYU will watch this film and will be trying to strip the ball from now on. this needs to be cleaned up. You can't put the ball on the ground like that.
