Good situation for a young QB who is getting out of a Ty Detmer system. He can go and learn behind a great passing QB and learn the intricacies of a pro game.

I think he probably learned a lot under Ty Detmer, but the overall offense didn't allow for him to translate that onto the field in Provo.

I think this offense is going to take a few years to get entrenched. Don't know if Detmer will last that long. Taysom didn't have receivers in 16 and everyone thought he was a step back from mangum. This year is showing that 2015 mangum had some major advantages with his receiver choices.
