Probably not. We just got into Provo. After the game we are driving to Houston. They will get rain but it only takes a day for it to drain. If the storm hits and then stays over Houston, then it could be a problem.

Re: Hurricane heading for Houston next week?
I was living in Houston, my wife pregnant with our first kid, during the last hurricane that tore through there. IKE. It was brutal. I remember it well because I couldn't see the BYU vs UCLA game where BYU just absolutely destroyed UCLA 59-0. I saw the score and couldn't believe my eyes. We went without power for 19 days. The only good this is it cooled down quite a bit after the storm so our house was not too miserable. Candlelight dinners, gas on our stove worked so we could cook food. Good times. Loved my time there. I'm rambling now. Storms did seem to drain quickly.

The pessimistic-nothing-good-ever-happens-to-BYU side of me says that this game gets rescheduled (a la Mississippis St in 2001). BYU runs the table until LSU. But in the final game before the game, Mangum gets hurt, BYU is ruled out of playoff contention and the Cougs get blown out against the Tigers and then in the bowl game.
BYU PER W/L Since 1972: 432-76 (.850)
(8.4xYDS)+(330xTD)+(100xCOM)-(200xINT)

Having lived in East Texas 1983 - 1987 and specifically in Houston (Spring, TX) 1986 - 1987, Houston did not withstand storms too well. It's low level and drainage was not good. If this hurricane drops the amount of rain/water that some are forecasting, this city may not be ready to proceed with normal activities for sometime IMO.

Latest tweets suggest the game will move locations, but not dates. The teams don't share an open date. NRG is the deciding authority, since they are the organizers for the game. The Superdome specifically has offered to host, as long as they hear by Tuesday.
If the yewts take the field and there are no BYU fans to pour beer on, will anybody come?
