Re: King of the world, Dallin Leavitt
My reaction was, oh yeah, he used to play for BYU. This is the first time I've thought of him since he left.
Unfortunately for him, he's spent the last two year thinking about BYU and was likely disappointed to find out the feeling wasn't mutual.

BYU PER W/L Since 1972: 432-76 (.850)

I was thinking the very same thing. It sure seemed like a that-will-show-them kind of moment to me, with an axe to grind/chip on shoulder thing against BYU.
As though he was the Count of Monte Cristo, or something.
What a punk.

I didn't get this. Sure he left BYU, but was there bad blood or something? Did coaches say "You suck and you'll never amount to anything" or something to that effect? I hold no ill will for him so his little outburst made no sense to me.

That's an awesome video! I felt bad for him, that he has so much anger at BYU, but at BYU nobody cares about him

Two reasons: (1) Got pissed when then DC Nick Howell publicly blamed the awful defense on the players in the secondary (for which Howell also happened to be position coach), and (2) his little sister was enrolling at USU, and some personal history there made him want to go be a big brother.Isola wrote:I didn't get this. I think the "King of the World" thing had to do with some of the message board talk of him being a quitter, bad teammate, etc. for announcing his transfer and quitting the team at BYU before the season had completed.

Now that is funny. Only a mother or a wife could tweet something as ridiculous as that.

It is probably a good thing the young man switched to USU. My bet is the more he (and his wife for that matter) focuses on USU and the less on BYU, things will improve for him.
