wasn't really expecting much from this game, but it was just kinda boring to watch in general.

Re: SUU game
That throw by Taysom on the TD to Kurtz on 4th down might have been the best throw of his career. It was absolutely perfect.

Re: SUU game
The back story to Creed is really the best part. He is the son of my older brother, Lance. Lance was a High School All-American fullback who dreamed of playing at BYU. His junior year in high school he blew 2 discs. Bill Parcells was coaching at Air Force and offered Lance a full-ride ... Lance turned it down to go on a mission after 1 year (rather than 2 as would have been necessary at AFA). Lavell told Lance to try Ricks for year and see how his back does ... then come down. Lance had back surgery the August after hs graduation ... an was never able to play football again. His four oldest boys have now all played at BYU: Brock was NG/D-line, played at Snow and then BYU. Jordan was DT, all 4 years at BYU ... blew his ACL against CSU, his second start of the year. Jared was a middle backer ... never played in a game, his 4th and 5th ACL tears (same knee) came in consecutive years in Spring Ball. He is attending BYU and Coaching at Mt. Timpanogas. Now there is Creed ... and the first to play his Dad's position at BYU.SpiffCoug wrote:No carries but he did get some PT and not just on kickoffs!mtnradio wrote:Creed Richardson ... #46 ... Lance died 12 years ago, while Brock was in the MTC. Each of the boys would wear the number 36 on their arm in each game to honor their Dad (his high school number was 36). So, to see Creed step on the field for BYU as a FB is pretty emotional for the whole family.
Thanks for cheering for him today!

Re: SUU game
I'm not sure about Brock but I believe Jordan was the heavyweight wrestling champion in his class in Idaho. Didn't Creed do well in wrestling as well. I know McKay and Nathan the best and I hold them in high esteem. They and the whole family are quality people.mtnradio wrote:The back story to Creed is really the best part.
